What does Greta have to do with insurance? – Sustainability in the insurance industry

The topic of sustainability is becoming increasingly important – also in the insurance industry. On the one hand, legal and regulatory requirements for insurers set high standards for sustainable corporate governance. On the other hand, the insurance industry is inherently focusing on sustainability strategies in its immediate business processes, in investments, risk insurance and product design. But what does sustainability mean in concrete terms in the insurance industry? What does the regulator want, but more importantly, what do customers want? Many customers say they are interested in sustainable insurance solutions and want to be insured by sustainable companies. What do these solutions look like? What does the market offer and how can these solutions be marketed?
